Licenses F.A.Q.

License transfer

You are allowed to sell your ProjectSAM library to another individual under certain conditions. For this, a license transfer is required.

  • A license can be transferred to another individual once.
  • We charge a €25/$30 fee (ex VAT) per library.
  • If you are selling bundled libraries to multiple buyers, the license transfer fee is per buyer, not per library.
  • Educational licenses cannot be transferred. These licenses need to be upgraded to a full license first.
  • NFR (Not For Resale) licenses cannot be transferred.
  • The license transfer form needs to be completed and signed by both the seller and buyer.

Side-licenses

A standard license allows an individual user to activate and use a ProjectSAM library on up to 3 systems at the same time. Only this user is allowed to use the standard license.

If you need more than 3 system activations, or you need to extend the license to team members, a side-license can be purchased for 50% of the regular price listed on the website at that time.

In short, a side-license is useful in the following two scenarios:

  • You, as an individual user, need to use the library on more than 3 systems (eg. working stations + stand-by systems)
  • You are part of a composer team within the same company and the library needs to be used by other members within the team

Side-license conditions:

  • A side-license cannot be transferred to another user without transferring the main license to this same user as well
    (e.g. you cannot sell a Lumina side-license but keep the Lumina main license)
  • Side-licenses can only be purchased for the exact same edition of the product
    (e.g. you cannot add a Pandora Core side-license to a Pandora full version main license)

Pandora Extended License

If you own the full version of Pandora and you would like to add Pandora Core as well, e.g. for laptop use because of its smaller footprint, you can do so for 25% of the Pandora Core price listed on the website at that time (in other words: a 75% discount).

Pandora Extended License conditions:

  • Both the full version of Pandora and Pandora Core license will be registered to the same ProjectSAM account
  • Both the full version of Pandora and Pandora Core license need to be activated using the same Native Instruments account
  • The extended license for Pandora Core cannot be transferred to another user without transferring the license for the full version of Pandora to this same user as well
